Training Description

Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) is an important industrial procedure to ensure operators and maintenance personnel can safely work on machines. It is important to train the procedure properly so that operators are aware of the risks of improper execution. This helps the personnel to form the correct habits and implement them in the real world. Virtual Reality is the ideal companion to train this procedure.

Training Details

Using special locks, an operator will lock the on/off switch in OFF position before maintenance is conducted. If there is another person working on the same machine another lock has to be hung on that switch. This way, all persons have to remove their lock before the machine can be started.

This prevents people from accidentally supplying power to a machine while people are working on it. Incorrect execution of the LOTO procedure is one of the main causes of injuries/deaths in the general industry.
