OneBonsai was requested by GS1 to create a Proof of Concept to showcase the use of their standards in day-to-day medical care activities. To this end, OneBonsai developed, in close cooperation with healthcare professionals, a bedside scanning training which depicted the journey of a medical professional.
Our VR experience has been showcased at the GS1 Healthcare Event in Brussels and is being distributed across the globe at different member associations.
Through an intensive 1-day Design Sprint, OneBonsai worked alongside Subject Matter Experts from GS1 to build a scope that would best depict the use of their standards. Using this input, OneBonsai created a Storyboard which depicted the user journey in VR.
Through Agile development, OneBonsai provided multiple iterations of the VR experience, until it closely matched the requirements of the client. The experience is optimized to work on the mobile headset Oculus Quest and has been tested by a variety of profiles. Now the experience has been distributed across the globe and is being tested out internationally.
If the Proof of Concept is accepted, GS1 plans on continuing the work on the virtualization of their training and marketing material. OneBonsai is able to help them on this path, and looks forward to working further on this project.
